FAQ’s

When and where is the Desert Rose Women's Retreat?

The Desert Rose Women’s Retreat will be held January 23–27, 2027, at White Stallion Ranch near Tucson, Arizona. You’ll spend four nights and five days surrounded by the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.

Who is this retreat for?

Desert Rose is for women who are ready to step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with themselves. You may be navigating a life transition, feeling burned out, wondering what’s next, or simply craving time to pause, reflect, and experience something meaningful.

You don’t need to be going through a major life change to attend. You simply need to be open to new experiences and willing to give yourself this time.

Can I come to the retreat by myself?

Absolutely! Many women attend retreats on their own. You will be welcomed into a small, supportive group where there will be plenty of opportunities to connect naturally with other women while still having time and space for yourself.

Do I need experience with horses?

Not at all. No previous horse experience is necessary. Our equine-guided experiences are designed to meet you exactly where you are, whether you’ve spent your entire life around horses or have never touched one.

Do I have to ride a horse?

No. Horseback riding is one of the ranch activities available during your stay, but you are never required to participate in an activity that doesn’t feel right for you.

Our equine-guided personal growth experiences take place on the ground and do not require riding.

What if I've never done yoga?

That’s perfectly okay! No previous yoga experience is needed. Yoga practices will be accessible and designed to encourage movement, mindfulness, connection, and presence rather than performance.

This is not about touching your toes or perfecting a pose. It’s about connecting with your body and yourself.

What are equine-guided experiences?

Equine-guided experiences invite you to interact with horses in a safe, thoughtfully facilitated environment.

Horses naturally live in the present moment and respond honestly to what is happening around them. Through experiential activities with horses, you may explore themes such as confidence, boundaries, self-awareness, trust, connection, and personal growth.

No riding is involved in these sessions, and no horse experience is require.

What is included in the retreat investment?

Your retreat experience includes:

  • Four nights of lodging at White Stallion Ranch
  • Meals during your stay
  • Equine-guided experiences
  • Yoga and mindfulness practices
  • Ranch activities, including horseback riding opportunities
  • Guided personal growth experiences
  • Airport transportation from Tucson International Airport
  • Time for rest, reflection, connection, and adventure

Airfare and personal expenses are not included.

How much does the retreat cost?

The investment for the Desert Rose Women’s Retreat is $3,250 per person.

A $500 deposit reserves your place, with the remaining balance divided into two additional payments. The final balance is due September 1, 2026.

Space is intentionally limited to create a personal and meaningful retreat experience.

What airport should I fly into?

Tucson International Airport (TUS) is the recommended airport. Tucson International Airport transportation to and from White Stallion Ranch is included in your retreat experience.

We will provide registered participants with additional travel and arrival information before the retreat.

What should I pack?

We recommend comfortable clothing that can be layered for changing desert temperatures, closed-toe shoes for activities around horses, comfortable clothing for yoga, sun protection, a reusable water bottle, and anything that helps you feel comfortable and at home.

A detailed packing guide will be provided before the retreat.

What is the weather like in Arizona in January?

January in the Tucson area typically brings comfortable daytime temperatures and cooler mornings and evenings. Desert temperatures can change considerably throughout the day, so layers are recommended.

We’ll provide more detailed packing recommendations as the retreat approaches.

Will I have free time?

Yes. While we have thoughtfully planned experiences throughout the retreat, we also believe that transformation needs breathing room.

There will be opportunities to rest, explore the ranch, enjoy the scenery, connect with other women, or simply spend some quiet time with yourself.

Do I have to participate in every activity?

We encourage you to be curious and open to the experiences offered, but this is your retreat.

You are always invited to listen to yourself and honor what you need.

Is this a therapy retreat?

No. Desert Rose is a personal growth and wellness retreat and is not a substitute for mental health treatment or therapy.

The retreat includes experiential equine-guided activities, yoga, mindfulness, reflection, and opportunities for personal growth in a supportive environment.

How many women will attend?

Desert Rose is intentionally kept small, with space for up to 10 women. Keeping the group intimate allows for meaningful connection, personalized experiences, and plenty of space for each woman to have her own journey.

What if I'm nervous about attending?

That’s completely understandable.

Trying something new—especially traveling to a retreat on your own—can feel exciting and a little uncomfortable at the same time.

You don’t need to arrive feeling confident or knowing exactly what you want to discover. You simply need to arrive as you are.

We’ll take it from there together.

How do I reserve my place?

Your place is reserved with a $500 deposit.

Because the retreat is intentionally limited to a small group of women, we encourage you to reserve your place when you feel ready.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Arizona desert.
